lyrics
Wine, whiskey, beer and cigars
Lay in the gutter, gaze up at the stars
its wild the way you can wile away
a day that's a twin of each day you begin the same
way out at the back of the garden,
the plans your were planting are laying forgotten
the fields are all fallow, the plums are all rotten
the time that you bought wasn't quite what you thought
Somewhere, on the other side
we'll meet again and arms open wide,
we'll embrace whatever's left over with grace
Somewhere, over the limbo,
we'll meet again and throw arms akimbo
we'll wobble our heads and we'll bury the dead
Face first, into tomorrow
we'll waste no time on our sorrow
we'll push at our luck, and we'll drink and we'll fuck
with abandon
We'll whip round, neighbour to neighbour
and pay back favour by favour
and find blame a place, a suitable face
to kick sand in
Somewhere, on the other side,
we'll meet again and arms open wide
we'll embrace whatever is left and be fine
Somewhere, over the limbo
We'll meet again and throw arms akimbo
we'll wobble our heads and we'll bury the dead
and drink wine
Wine, whiskey, beer and cigars
lay in the gutter, gaze up at the stars
yeah that's Wilde, but who cares, everyone shares
the same burden
The nearly, dearly departed,
have merely gone and head-started,
we'll follow along, at the end of the song
when it's curtains
Somewhere, on the other side
we'll meet again, and arms open wide
we'll embrace whoever is still hanging on
Somewhere, over the limbo,
we'll meet again and throw arms akimbo
we'll wobble our heads and we'll bury the dead
and move on
We'll wobble our heads and we'll bury the dead
and move on
